Two people were treated in a Gainesville hospital after an ambulance transporting a patient crashed into another car at an intersection.

Police said the ambulance stopped at the intersection Sunday night and then kept going, crashing into a Honda Accord.

The patient was picked up by another ambulance and a paramedic also was transported to the hospital with injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The driver of the Honda had minor injuries. No further information was made available.
